This year marks the 250th anniversary of the nation and the 150th anniversary of Colorado’s statehood. In honor of this celebration, retired local history teacher, John Berry will give a presentation on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, on what was happening in our area before 1876 while Colorado was still just a territory. Come learn about the explorers that came through here, like David Kellogg who named our majestic landmark, Castle Rock.
